Why You Should Volunteer
Promote High-Quality Public Education
Education is foundational for producing great individuals. Beyond teaching academics, an education promotes relationships, identity, emotional well-being, and one's ability to positively impact the world. Education also helps our communities by enriching our culture, informing our values, and improving our collective economic outlook.
At Liberty Tech, we believe all children deserve a high-quality education, and we accomplish this by doing the following:
At Liberty Tech, we believe all children deserve a high-quality education, and we accomplish this by doing the following:
- Recognize every student is different, so we educate each student based on their individual ability, aptitude, and attitude.
- Utilize Project Based Learning supported by STEAM and classical methodologies. To learn more about our approach, visit our curriculum page.
- Ensure fundamental skills like reading, writing, math, science, and social studies are mastered by every pupil.
- Build strong character by promoting our four cardinal virtues: Temperance, Prudence, Justice, and Fortitude.
- Attract, retain, and motivate excellent teachers.
Make A Positive Impact On A Large, Diverse Community
Liberty Tech is a special place that differs from most other public schools:
- We serve over 400 children ranging from Kindergartners to 8th Graders. Initiatives like our Book Buddy program allow our older students to interact with our younger students and promote collaboration while learning.
- Most public schools only serve one county. Our student body hails from ten counties ranging from metro Atlanta to middle Georgia, creating economic, cultural, and demographic diversity.
- Three times a year, we open our doors to parents and the greater community to showcase projects that the whole school has worked on together. Visit our Exhibition Night Gallery to view our work.
- Liberty Tech's students and faculty are extremely tight-knit, and we have a lot of Maverick pride. Check out this video to learn why we love our school:
Because Liberty Tech is a charter school that operates outside of a traditional school district, we are not subject to the forces of politics like other boards. Our board and committee members can directly govern the school in a way that is best for the children and our greater community.
Acquire Additional Professional Experience
Our governance board and committees offer many opportunities for members to expand and refine their professional and community networks and talents.

Keep Liberty Tech Operational
While we have strong day-to-day leadership and a faculty that is committed to making the school the best it can be, Liberty Tech simply cannot achieve its full potential without committed volunteers. The board and its committees fulfill important duties ranging from keeping the lights on to acquiring facilities. Liberty Tech would not exist without its governance volunteers, so having people donate their time and personal & professional skills is paramount to the school's success.
