Join The Board

Liberty Tech's Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that the academic program of Liberty Tech Charter School is successful, that the school’s program and operation are faithful to the terms of its charter, and that the school is a viable organization.

Board Meetings

Liberty Tech's Board of Directors meets on the fourth Monday of every month. Meetings occur at 7:00 PM. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.  The public may sign up for comment by emailing the board at [email protected] with their name, phone number, and topic of the comment. 

School Year 2026-2027 Governing Board & Committee Meeting Dates
Exceptions to the 4th Monday for SY26-27 include: 
  • November: Meeting on the 13th (not the 23rd) due to Maverick Project Showcase
  • January: Meeting on the 16th (not the 25th) for a Strategy Session
  • March: Meeting on the 11th (not the 22nd) due to Maverick Project Showcase

Committees



The committees of the Liberty Tech Governing Board are each chaired by a member of the Governing Board. The committees and their respective responsibilities are listed below. 

 Meeting dates, times and locations are posted under the description of each committee.

Academic Excellence Committee
Works with the school’s principal to define academic excellence, ensure that all Board members understand the charter promises made to the community and the authorizer, and devise clear and consistent measures to monitor these goals. 
  • Dates: 2nd Thursday at 8:30 am

Finance Committee
Works with the school’s principal and business manager to create the annual budget, monitors implementation of approved budget on a regular basis and recommends proposed budget revisions. This committee also recommends policies for management of Liberty Tech's assets.

The Development Committee leads Liberty Tech’s efforts to secure funds to supplement budgetary needs and to foster community outreach.  
  • Dates: 4th Thursday at 4:00pm

Governance Committee
Responsible for matters pertaining to Board recruitment, nomination, orientation, training, and evaluation of Board members in accordance with the bylaws and policies and practices approved by the Board. 
​The Governance Committee is chaired by Nathan Flint.
